Are you anxious about the climate crisis? Are you looking for a way to get involved?

Come to the presentation of Extinction Rebellion Quebec!

In the first section, we’ll go over the climate science that explains the current situation with the climate and ecological crisis we are facing.

In the second section, we will present our approach to climate activism and our mode of organizing, as well as the many different ways you can get involved with XR as we rebel to protect life on Earth!

Finally, this presentation will also be a workshop for the formation of XR Concordia, a group bringing students and faculty together to promote climate activism in the university.

This presentation takes place in Tiotà:ke, on the unceded lands of the Kanien’kehà:ka nation.

Presentation by: Dr. Heather Short, Earth Scientist and climate educator. Heather has been teaching climate science at John Abbott College for 12 years. She is a member of Extinction Rebellion Quebec because the scientific evidence clearly demonstrates that we are facing a climate emergency of geologic proportions, and that we have a small window of opportunity to mitigate the severity of it.
